We treat what we can on-site and refer to a pediatric specialist or ER when indicated.

Walk in any time we’re open. Our team checks vitals using kid-sized equipment, conducts a thorough but gentle exam, runs any needed rapid tests, and starts treatment. You leave with a clear care plan, prescriptions, and guidance on what to watch for at home — including specific signs that warrant a return visit or ER care.

When your child needs urgent medical care, PACS Urgent Care is here to help. Our Alexandria and Ruther Glen/Ladysmith locations welcome kids 7 days a week — pediatric-trained providers, child-friendly setting, and parent-focused communication.

Pediatric urgent care serves children of all ages — from infants with high fever, to toddlers with ear infections, to school-age kids with sports injuries, to teenagers with sudden illness. We’re open the hours pediatricians aren’t, including weekends and holidays.

PACS Urgent Care accepts most major insurance plans, including children’s plans like Medicaid CHIP. Self-pay pricing is transparent and significantly less than ER care. We coordinate with your child’s pediatrician for follow-up so care continues smoothly.
